About us
EIDOS InfoCentre project includes three parts linked to each other: a LIBRARY, ARTFORUMWEB web-portal and ARTFORUMLIVE communication program.
At first the focus of the main project was to create a library at the EIDOS foundation, that would comprise of all the best catalogues, video-art, photo- and video-documentation from all over the world, so that everyone interested could find the latest news in the contemporary artsphere. The information centre soon progressed into a web-portal and a communication program.
LIBRARY
The information centre library includes the most authoritative contemporary art issues from around the world, including Flash Art, Art Review, Parkett Art, frieze, CIRCA, Art Monthly, Art Investor, Art.es, HG, Artchronika, as well as catalogues, monographs, compilations of articles by Ukrainian and foreign authors. In an equipped room in EIDOS one can explore the media archive: video- and photo-documentation of video- and media-art. The library continuously receives new sources and everyone interested is welcome to enjoy them.
WEB
The information centre web-portal lib.eidosfund.org is the biggest contemporary art information resource in Ukraine through which one can access digital versions of authoritative periodicals from all over the world, explore the media catalogue, participate in on-line discussions at ARTFORUMWEB forum. The website provides information about young Ukrainian artists. It aims at being an exhaustive representation of the young Ukrainian contemporary art scene and artists. The web-portal is also oriented at sharing international experience and to present Ukrainian art to the world.
ARTFORUMLIVE
The idea of an information centre was born out of the educational program – regular public discussions, presentations, round tables on issues of contemporary art, all of which are represented in the virtual space of the web-portal. The events’ moderators are top specialists from Ukraine and abroad – renown curators, critics, artists and scholars.
